Privacy Policy

The short version

1. What we collect

When you join the Museapass waitlist, we collect:

• Your email address
• The date and time you signed up

We do not collect your name, location, payment information, or any other personal data at this stage. We do not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or behavioural analytics.

2. How we use your data

Your email address is used solely to:

• Confirm your place on the Museapass waitlist
• Send you updates about the Museapass launch (infrequently — we respect your inbox)
• Notify you when early access opens and your founding-member discount becomes available

We will never use your email for marketing unrelated to Museapass, and we will never sell it.

3. Data storage

Your data is stored on a self-hosted server operated by Museapass Technologies Ltd. We do not use third-party cloud databases or email service providers that retain your data beyond what is necessary to deliver messages.

Our server is located in the United States (AWS US East). If you are based in the European Economic Area, by joining the waitlist you consent to this transfer, which is protected under standard contractual clauses.

4. No third-party sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third parties — including advertisers, data brokers, analytics platforms, or partner museums. Full stop.

The only exception would be if we were required to disclose data by law (e.g. a valid court order), in which case we would notify you to the extent permitted by law.

5. Cookies & tracking

This website does not set any persistent cookies. We use a single session-storage value (exit-dismissed) to remember whether you have already seen our waitlist reminder modal — this value exists only in your browser memory and is cleared when you close the tab.

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. Plausible is fully GDPR-compliant. You can read their privacy policy at plausible.io/privacy.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data at any time
• Withdraw consent for communications (unsubscribe) at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@museapass.com with the subject line "Data Request". We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data retention

We retain your email address until you ask us to delete it, or until Museapass launches and you either subscribe or your waitlist position expires (60 days post-launch). After that window, all non-converting waitlist emails are permanently deleted from our servers.
